Needs Assessment of Seniors in Collier County
Syntony conducted a needs assessment of seniors in Collie County in 2012 that led to the establishment of the first ever Senior Center in Naples, FL. An update to the study was conducted in 2017. The work garnered local, regional, and national press coverage including by the PBS NewsHour.

Food Access Mapping in Immokalee, FL
Dr. Felke conducted a pilot project mapping food access points in Immokalee, FL during April 2018. The project was the pilot of field-based survey software allowing for the capture of quantitative and geographic data through the use of a smartphone app. The project was covered locally by WINK News.

Affordable Housing on Sanibel
Dr. Felke served as the co-investigator to Dr. Margaret Banyan on an assessment of affordable housing on Sanibel Island for Community Housing Resources. The project focused on the affordability of housing for service industry workers. Dr. Felke provided support to the project by mapping key demographic indicators to support the project narrative.

Village of Estero Community Needs Assessment
Dr. Felke conducted a community needs assessment in the Village of Estero at the request of the Estero Community Improvement Foundation. The project involved secondary data analysis, survey data collection, and qualitative interviews with residents. The project provided insight into what Estero residents felt were the strengths, weaknesses, and challenges facing the newly established village.
